I picked this camera up recently because I was looking for an everyday camera that could do pictures and videos at a reasonable pricepoint. This was the perfect fit for me. The controls and menu are all simple and intuitive to use, no problems at all.
The one thing I would recommend for people considering purchasing this is you will definitely want to pick up an extra SD card for this. There is internal memory, but even on the lowest quality settings, internal memory only allows you one minute of video or about 80 pictures out of the box.
Playing with the camcorder, it actually was able to pick up the sound of my dog licking its lips from at least two feet away!
My favorite feature of this camera is that is counts down on the display how many pictures and/or time for videos you have left available for on your memory card/internal memory (it might be a common feature these days - I'm not sure, but I didn't have it on my previous camera). This way, you know when to start cutting videos short and can swap out cards to not miss an important scene, etc.
I'm happy with the purchase.

Watch Video Here: http://www.amazon.com/review/R3L17I0HUCE1HO I bought the Casio Exilim EX-Z750 a few years ago because I read that it was a top performer for cameras in this class in Consumer Reports. I haven't been disappointed. I've taken thousands of photos and have been happy with the way it performs. The battery lasts an amazing amount of time, approximately 325 shots, longer than any similar camera I've owned in the past. It features a 3x, 7.9-23.7mm lens, equivalent to a 38-114mm lens on a 35mm camera. Maximum aperture ranges from f/2.8 to f/5.1, depending on the zoom position, and remains under automatic control. You can customize key operations to assign recording mode, exposure compensation, white balance, ISO sensitivity or self-timer functions to the left/right controller buttons. It's easy to change these settings by simply pressing the left or right control button. Most of the time I have it on "Auto" for point and shoot convenience at parties and such, but when I want that special picture and I have the time to adjust the settings it's nice to have that option.
This camera creates superior images in lighting conditions that are challenging for other cameras. You can select aperture priority, shutter priority, or just select one of the unique "Best Shot" modes to enhance your images. The 0.9-second continuous shooting mode and low light assist, help to capture sharp images such as fast action or low light. scenes.
You can use the MPEG-4 format or high quality movies can also be taken in VGA size (640 x 480 pixels) at 30 frames per second. The videos equal the quality of some point and shoot video cameras that I've seen. You can record voice-only audio or up to 30-second audio memos that are attached to still images. The Calendar feature shows a monthly calendar with thumbnails of photos on the day they were taken. You can also store special photos in the "Favorites folder." There is an Album function that indexes your photos in HTML format so they can be viewed with any modern web browser.
The camera has 8.3 MB of built-in memory, and it has a memory card slot that lets you use removable SD and MMC type cards like this one that I use SanDisk 2GB SD Memory Card (SDSDB-2048, Bulk Package). An easy operation copies images between a memory card and the built-in memory. It has a nice, big 2.5-inch liquid crystal display and a 3X optical zoom lens.
I'm posting a short compilation of photos I've taken with this camera and I'm also posting some in the "customer images" section above since the video display is pretty compressed to fit here. I hope this helps you in making a decision on the camera.
